NASA plans to use sound waves to help astronauts pass kidney stones

By using sound to manipulate and move objects through the body, researchers at the University of Washington are helping patients pass kidney stones without invasive surgery. The project is part funded by NASA to help astronauts reduce the risk of stones during long missions.
